We’ve all heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why have so many of us grown up eating sugary cereal? Almost all the cereals in the supermarket cereal aisle are a poor choices, even ones that market “weight loss” to us (Special K has to be one the most deceiving products on the market).
Here are a few healthy breakfasts that I like to indulge in.
Over Night Oats
This takes no time at all to prepare the night before. Layer a mason jar with oats (organic of course) greek yogurt and fruit such as banana and berries. Refrigerate overnight and grab as you run out the door in the morning
Breakfast Protein Smoothie
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
1 serve of natural protein powder
1 Tablespoon of cacao
1 Tablespoon chia seeds
1/4 cup oats
1/2 Tablespoon of maca powder
Handful of baby spinach
Poached Eggs with avocado and spinach on Rye/Spelt toast
Poach organic free range eggs and layer over avocado, steamed spinach and top with sprouts and himalayan salt.
100 Grams of rolled oats
200 grams of low fat cottage cheese
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Blend the ingredients in a food processor and pour a ladleful into a heated pan cooking on each side for 2-3 minutes.
If you’re not a breakfast person try a green smoothie and sip on until you feel hungry. Find my Green Smoothie recipe HERE
Have a great start to your day!
